Language and Units of Measurement

The ExAC is an examination that uses metric units of measurement, however some 3rd party references provided to answer exam questions maybe be in imperial units.

Interns have the option of writing the ExAC in either English or French. Interns will receive the examination booklet in the language chosen on his/her registration form.

Most of the suggested references and resources are available in either English or French however there are a few that are not available in both languages.

The ExAC is designed for future architects who are fluent in English or in French and who are familiar with the vocabulary of the profession of architecture. Before you register for the ExAC, it is advisable that you have sufficient skills and proficiency in the language that have you chosen for the ExAC. You are not permitted to use a dictionary or a translation device during the examination session.
